Salt Lake City Garage Doors
Testing your garage door’s functionality and reliability is usually done every month. Reversal testing and force set testing are the required things to check.
Reversal testing makes you sure that your garage door opener has a reversing feature. Test the garage door’s balance. Open the garage door fully and then place a 1 and ½ thick piece of wood on the floor located at the center of the door. Close the door using the garage door’s remote control, a pad, your code or the button used for closing the garage door. The test is good if the door reverses when it strikes the wood.
Force setting also tests your garage door’s reversing feature; hold the bottom of the garage door while it closes. If the garage door does not reverse with the proper force applied, there may be problems with your garage door. Read your garage door’s manual, mostly replacement is the solution to your garage door’s reversibility problem.
